I got this as an audiobook to listen to and fall asleep, it certainly worked lol. It's a nice little story about Samantha who befriends a widower, it turns out they had been friends of her grandma and had spent a lot of time together when she was a young child. Before his wife’s death, they had wanted to open a hedgehog rescue but didn’t manage to get it finished and the story mainly revolves around Sam's life trying to fulfill this as a memorial to the couple. I found the relationship Sam has with her mother a bit trying at times as it takes up large chunks of the book, I felt like shaking the author and saying 'yes I know that now, can we move on?' A nice gentle book which you don't have to concentrate on a bit different from my normal genre's crime, psychological thriller's, biographies and autobiographies.
